The Roopa Shivkumar Annual Seminar 2017 held on October 14th 2017.

One of the most vital components of an inclusive classroom teacher- is to create and sustain a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere. Students are more likely to follow directions, work hard, and demonstrate positive classroom behaviour when they feel wanted and appreciated by the teacher. This is particularly important for students with special education needs. The feeling of belonging positively impacts the students’ self-image, self-esteem, motivation to achieve, behaviour and overall level of achievement.
